Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to Kivra’s web application (https://inbox.kivra.fi/) and Android and iOS applications.

Kivra Suomi – iOS version: 9.19.0

This accessibility statement was prepared on 19.6.2025.

Although Kivra is not directly subject to the Accessibility Act, the development of the service has nevertheless aimed to comply with the requirements of the Act. Our goal is that all users, including those with various functional limitations, can use Kivra as smoothly as possible.

The accessibility of the service has been assessed by an IAAP-certified expert from an external expert organization. The accessibility audit was carried out using, for example, a screen reader, keyboard navigation, automatic contrast tools, and other browser extensions.

Digital Service Accessibility Status

Kivra’s service partially meets the WCAG 2.1 A and AA level accessibility requirements mandated by law.

Below are the inaccessible contents identified in the audit. The deficiencies identified in the audit will be corrected during the basic development work of the service.

General

  • Link returning to the home page is ambiguously named. (2.4.6 Headings and Labels)

  • The “My Information” page has identically named buttons. (1.3.1 Information and Relationships)
  • Share request impossible to accept with keyboard use. (2.1.1 Keyboard)
  • Language menu is inadequately named. (2.4.6 Headings and Labels)
  • Visual emphasis of the current page is not conveyed to the user. (1.3.1 Information and Relationships)
  • User is not warned of session timeout. (2.2.1 Adjustable Timing)
  • The page has text element contrast deficiencies. (1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum))
  • The difference between selected and unselected elements is conveyed only by colors. (1.4.1 Use of Color)

Registration

  • Input fields have not been set with accessible names. (4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)
  • Page updates without warning. (3.2.2 Input)

Invoices and files

  • Adding a category is impossible with assistive technologies or keyboard. (1.3.1 Information and Relationships, 2.1.1 Keyboard, 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)
  • Category symbols lack text alternatives. (1.1.1 Non-text Content)
  • When viewing invoice details, the technical name does not contain parts of the visual name. (2.5.3 Label in Name)

Payment

  • Radio buttons used in connection with invoice payments are technically poorly implemented. (1.3.1 Information and Relationships, 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)
  • The calendar component in the invoice payment stage is not accessible. (4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)

Mobile applications

  • All operating systems: Input fields have not been set with accessible names. (4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)
  • All operating systems: The service has unnamed buttons. (4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)
  • iOS: The application does not adapt to the phone screen when the user rotates their mobile device. (1.3.4 Orientation)
  • iOS/iPadOS: VoiceOver screen reader does not focus on the text content of the trash page when the trash is empty. (1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence)

Not covered by legislation

  • Content published in the service by users or other external parties that is not produced, funded, or supervised by the service provider itself.
