Danske Bank and digital mail service Kivra join forces to offer businesses a convenient solution for one-time invoicing
As the first Finnish bank, Danske Bank has entered into a partnership with digital mail service Kivra to offer Finnish businesses a cost-effective and environmentally friendly channel for delivering one-time invoices digitally. This collaboration enhances Danske Bank’s invoicing services for business clients.
Danske Bank is a Nordic universal bank that provides banking services to households, businesses, and institutions with extensive expertise and innovative digital solutions. In Finland, the bank serves thousands of corporate clients and acts as an invoicing operator facilitating various delivery methods for their consumer customers. While e-invoicing is widely used in Finland, it does not cover all invoicing needs, such as the digital delivery of one-time invoices. Kivra’s digital mail service addresses this gap by offering a fast, secure, and cost-effective method for sending one-time invoices, which were previously sent as paper letters.
“Collaboration with Kivra is an excellent example of the opportunities digital mail provides across industries. We have long encouraged consumer customers to adopt e-invoicing, but this partnership with Kivra enables our business clients to digitalize even one-time invoicing with ease. With the digital mail service, we can better meet our customers’ needs and offer them a cost-efficient new channel for delivering invoices to their clients as digital mail,” says Aki Niinistö, Head of SME Cash Management Sales at Danske Bank Finland.
The use of digital mail services is growing rapidly in Finland, and Kivra is one of the pioneers in the field. In Sweden, more than six million consumers and hundreds of thousands in Finland already use Kivra to receive important everyday documents as digital mail, with user growth accelerating continuously. In Finland, Kivra provides the same secure and protected service for information exchange between businesses and consumers. Only verified entities can send mail to strongly authenticated consumers through Kivra.
“We are delighted with our partnership with Danske Bank. This is another step towards a more paperless society. The need for fast, secure, and electronic information exchange has significantly increased in recent years, and collaborations like this expand digital mail access for citizens and businesses while enhancing security across society. Digital mail services reduce costs, lower environmental emissions, and streamline processes while fostering positive interactions between businesses and consumers,” explains Kim Alen, Kivra’s Head of Partnerships.
The collaboration between Danske Bank and Kivra supports businesses’ sustainability goals and addresses the growing need for digital solutions among both consumers and companies.
