Our operating model is a good example of future growth based on escalating good things forward.”

Ilari Abdeen, 33, starts as Kivra Oy’s Managing Director on the 1st of September 2020.  Previously Ilari has worked in the pension insurance company Varma, as Director for Small Corporate Customers. Before Varma he has held several management positions in the OP Bank Group. Abdeen holds a degree of MSc from the University of Vaasa.

“Ilari has a strong track record from the financial sector, especially as a network builder and growth driver. He is the correct person to lead a company which strengths lay in strong co-operation with partners. Kivra’s target is to grow on the Finnish market and reach same status that we have in Sweden. The more organizations we have onboard, the larger the number of Finns are that will benefit from the use of our service,” says Ville-Veikko Laukkanen, Chairman of the Board of Kivra Oy.

Kivra is a digital mail service for document handling between companies and their customers. In Sweden, the service is a market leader for digital mail services of about 4 million users and 27 000 sending organizations. Kivra is used by private companies and public administrations, such as the tax authorities, municipalities, health services and the police.

“Kivra is on the brink of both social responsibility and technology. Both organizations and people are looking for transparent ways to reduce their carbon footprint. Reducing paper mail is a concrete climate action. I am particularly fascinated by Kivra’s values, were the companies and their customers can do good together for a greener future. Our operating model is a good example of future growth based on escalating good things forward,” says Ilari Abdeen.

In Finland the first companies who have taken Kivran into use are Telia, Resurs Bank and several companies in the energy and waste industries. Together with the sending companies Kivra aims to cut paper transaction from the current to a third during the coming years. Kivra is also the world’s first service to send climate positive digital mail.

“Kivra represents the responsible and digital normal of tomorrow – already today. Many companies are currently aiming for 15 years in their climate targets, but I believe that in a few years the time span will be shortened to 3 – 5 years, for example, forced by consumer purchasing decisions. The corona pandemic accelerated digitalization worldwide and the companies has to do radical changes to their strategies in business. In this atmosphere we are a good partner for organizations wanting to make a change,” says Ville-Veikko Laukkanen.
